After studying journalism, film and theatre studies in Florence and Berlin, I worked for many years as a television journalist and author in Berlin. So words were my first love and with words I created my first images. 

The passion for photography was always there, but it was less the focus of my professional life. That changed about twenty years ago when I moved to Antwerp in Belgium.

While I was building a new career in a new country and in a new language, photography became more and more my focus.

I studied photography alongside my work at an art academy and dived deeper into the visual language. 

I still love telling stories that life has written.

Some photos don't need words, some texts are image enough and sometimes words and photos enter into a wonderful complementary relationship.

In my work as a writing photographer or photographing author, I am always interested in reflecting the soul of a project or person.
